About the event

Spring Outing Invitation for the Flower Festival — Join ICEC for a Cultural Experience in Brooklyn!

As the gentle April breeze brushes your face and spring fills the air, the International Cultural Exchange Center (ICEC) warmly invites you to a Spring Flower Festival Celebration on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Leif Ericson Park (small plaza between 8th and 9th Avenue), Brooklyn.

Inspired by the traditional Flower Festival (Huazhao Jie), this event blends classic Chinese elements with modern flair to create an immersive cultural experience suitable for all ages:

  • Guofeng/C-pop Stage Performances: A fusion of timeless melodies and contemporary rhythms to bring you a spectacular visual and musical experience.

  • Free Hanfu Experience (with styling and photos): Try on beautiful traditional Chinese attire with professional makeup and styling, and capture your exclusive spring memory.

  • Fun Games & Hands-on Crafts: Family-friendly activities that let you enjoy the warmth and charm of Chinese traditions.

  • Spring Outing and Scenery: While the park may not be in full bloom, it is full of greenery and sunshine — a perfect time for a relaxing spring stroll.

The Flower Festival, also known as the “Birthday of a Hundred Flowers,” is an important traditional Chinese holiday celebrating the arrival of spring and the renewal of nature. Through this event, ICEC hopes to bring the warmth and charm of Chinese culture into the heart of the city.

Come celebrate spring with us in Brooklyn and experience the unique beauty of Eastern culture!

Admission: Free — some experiences have limited spots and are first come, first served.
